Isn't that a gorgeous ring? I've never understood why people place so much value on the ring. Isn't it more important to be focused on marrying the right person than the ring? I know I'm not alone in how I feel, but people never cease to amaze me when they go on and on about how many carats and how expensive their ring was. Silly.
Rick got it right and had nothing to be anxious about. I love it and I love that he went through so much trouble to find the perfect diamond and the perfect setting.
My specifications were fairly simple: yellow gold, plain, round or princess cut, and not something that would qualify as "bling". I told him if he got me a heart shaped diamond I would barf. . .which is when he told me it was round.
And of course I had to go and chip my nailpolish before he took the picture. You all can see my "tan" too. I don't tan. . .I freckle (or burn).
My dad tans like freaking George Hamilton, but I got the full compliment of Irish genes. Fair skin included.
